AN ENCOUNTER WITH BANTING

In 2021, the world will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Canada’s youngest and only Nobel Prize winner in medicine, Sir Frederick Grant Banting. Although famous for the discovery of insulin that saves millions of lives daily around the globe, there is an untold story to this famous Canadian scientist. At the onset of WW2, Banting led the war effort in scientific research that could have been related to his tragic and untimely death. Could the Hudson Bomber he boarded in Newfoundland to deliver a secret packaged to the front lines of the British army have been sabotaged?
