The Ferrara Film Festival is one of the fastest growing film festival in the World and, after just five editions, the fastest growing in Italy. It's the film festival of the UNESCO World Heritage City of Ferrara.
The Ferrara Film Festival is a global film competition, that culminates in the Golden Dragon Awards ceremony, that includes movie themed collateral events and entertainment shows. In 2016 live attendance was 2500, in 2017 it was 5000, in 2018 we gathered 7800 and in 2019 we had 10,000 people in attendance. During the "special" edition of 2020, held with great success (and in total safety) with all the limitations of Covid-19, our media campaign reached over 5,000,000 people.
In 2020 we were one of the very few film festivals in Italy that had a "live" edition. For us, the theatrical experience is at the top of our priorities: great films should be seen on the big screen, not on a computer. FFFEXPERIENCE is our original way of harmonizing big screen premieres with movie themed parties and events in such an engaging way that you feel part of the magic of Cinema, while maintaining exclusivity and glamor. All this surrounded by the wonderful city of Ferrara where you can visit breathtaking monuments and taste the best Italian food.
The Ferrara Film Festival was founded by producer, director and international show-business entrepreneur Maximilian Law, spearheading a team of about 50 people.
