Ferrara is now even more connected to Rome, Florence and Venice through high-speed rail; plus, film submissions for the 2022 editions are reaching an all-time high.
Film submissions for the 7th edition of Ferrara Film Festival, taking place in the spring of 2022, are reaching a record number. With a little over a month before the final submission deadline on December 31, the number of film submissions already reached the total amount of last year. So far the festival received over 1300 film submissions from 37 Countries in all 6 Continents. The instructions on how to submit your film are HERE.
With regards to high speed travel opportunities, from December 12, the private high speed rail company Italo added 5 additional daily routes to and from Ferrara, bringing the total to 14 each day, 7 on each direction connecting directly to Venice, Florence, Rome and Naples. Italo has been an official partner of Ferrara Film Festival since the 2020 edition.
Ferrara is also served by the State high speed rail company ("Le Frecce" of Trenitalia) that already have 22 direct daily connections (11 on each direction) to and from Ferrara on the same route.
In conclusion, with a total of 36 direct high speed rail connections to Ferrara, the benefits are not just for our beatiful UNESCO World Heritage city, but also for our festival.
