ADDRESS PIAZZA CARBONE 35, FERRARA
Its construction was made by Ercole I d'Este, who had it built in 1476 as a court chapel and called New Church. Inside there were exposed the remains of the Este family . In the twentieth century the city began a radical restoration work and reconstruction of the existing, then known as novecentista addition, commissioned by Italo Balbo and his closest collaborators, like the mayor Renzo Ravenna and the journalist Nello Quilici . In those same years it was completely rebuilt in neo-medieval style facade in front of the Cathedral of the Municipal Palace and the Tower of Victory, which enclose, externally, the Municipal square. After restoration work, the Estense room became a theater and a cinema.
